Entrepreneurship communication by CIBC

External communication

External communication:


E-mail: Employees send email to the existing clients and new prospects for the business. In CIBC they send new bank offers, invitations, financial  monthly  statements, further confirmations and business related details. CIBC Customer care department widely use this for external communication.
 Telephone: In CIBC customers are called for financial offerings, bill collections, customer query replies. 
 Fax: Customer monthly bills and other customer related bank documents are send on fax after the request from a CIBC customer.
Brochures: CIBC new attractive offers, product descriptions, are advertised in brochures with CIBC website address and other contact details.
Media advertisements (magazines, TV ads, news papers): CIBC video advertisements and regular CIBC bank advertisements regarding the ongoing  financial  offers are brought in to media.
CIBC website: CIBC bank website is used for crystal clear details regarding the companies profile, products, contacts and further details.
Press meeting: Press meetings are done to make very important announcements to the public.
Client meeting: The CIBC officials conduct meeting in person with business clients for business deals.
Outdoor hoardings: CIBC ads are projected through outdoor hoardings in main intersections for the public view.
CIBC annual report: Annual financial reports are officially released to the public.
Business cards: Employees use CIBC business cards that are given to every employee with their name, designation in the bank and their contact details.

Internal communication:


E-mail: In CIBC electronic mails are used in common between employees to make announcements, financial data sharing, requesting status and etc.
 Telephone: Telephone is widely used as a communicating tool for information sharing. Even after sending e-mail, the employees confirm and  communicate  through telephone. The comfort level is high for CIBC employees while they have a telephonic conversation.
 Face-to face meeting: These meetings are between peers and also between boss and their subordinates. The level of satisfaction is high when the face  to  face meeting takes place. The meetings are sometimes a group meeting and also individual meeting.
 E-integration tool: This tool is used for internal communication within the office for chatting, conveying message and other financial business data files. Other web messengers like yahoo, Google and etc is blocked so they use this tool.
 Documentary depository: this is mainly used to store frequently used documents or data on a centralized server to reduce the load on network. CIBC  uses  share point server technology as a collaboration server to share the documents within the employees.
Live meeting: It is a combination of both telephone and online services. Some important meetings are conducted through live meeting. Many branch employees are connected for this meeting and everyone gets a desktop access with a user id and password to log in to the meeting.
 Video conferencing: Interviews for recruitment, training new recruits, team meetings, general meetings are also conducted through video conference.
 Scan: Some financial documents are scanned after taking an approval and scanned then the scanned documents if required are shared to everyone’s system or the required ones.
 Fax: Some financial documents of the bank and also customer’s documents are faxed to other branches or within the branch itself.
